TAIPEI, Taiwan –(Business Wire)–
Today’s mid-winter pre-show int’l press conference at the TWTC Trade
Center Club had all eyes focused on the coming 2011 early-summer
COMPUTEX TAIPEI.
Although big vendors and makers are still working with their labs on
just what products to launch at the show, the show organizer, TAITRA,
used the Pre-Show Press Conference to confirm several big changes that
will further expand the May 31 to June 4 event.
Expanded Venue!
Just when everyone thought there was more space to grow, comes news that
COMPUTEX TAIPEI will be expanded to include TWTC Hall 2. That brings an
additional 5,450 sq. meters of show space to offer a total 106,450 sq.
meters across five show venues at TWTC 1 3, the Taipei Int’l
Convention Center, NANGANG Exhibition Hall and the newly added Hall 2.
Two New Theme Areas
The space opened by the addition of Hall 2 lets COMPUTEX TAIPEI host two
new theme areas, namely EMBEDDED TECHNOLOGY and INTERNET OF THINGS,
which highlight advanced technologies and solutions for emerging
embedded applications and networked interconnection of everyday objects.
These feature areas help to usher in a new era of digital consumer
electronics, automotive, wireless computing and factory automation and
the concept of self-configuring wireless network of sensors to
interconnectthe world.
Fresh Focus on Key Technologies
The hottest products are launched by COMPUTEX TAIPEI that feature a full
menu of products and forums on theme areas such as E-Reading, Cloud
Computing, 3D Tech, mobile devices, Tablet PCs and much more. Taiwan’s
flagship show delivers the hottest products and insiders since this
place, also called Silicon Island, grew up with ICT and has output that
blankets the world.
COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2011 aims to break its own record!
The coming COMPUTEX TAIPEI, May 31 to June 4, builds upon last summer’s
event in 2010, which celebrated its 30th anniversary. It is going all
out to break the full slate of records it established last June. That
show hosted 1,715 exhibitors who used 4,861 booths to showcase the
hottest products to more than 35,000 international buyers.
This venue joined a world of partners, prices, concepts, and components
to generate an estimated US$23bn in business. COMPUTEX TAIPEI is now
poised to attract a record-breaking 1,800+ exhibitors and 36,000+
international buyers for even greater business.
